Thank you for checking out my blog. I hope you check back over the next 3 years to follow me along my journey through the Peace Corps, and stay in touch with me.
So here is the current status. I applied Jan 2, 2009 and have just been bumping along the process of getting in. It has been a long, expensive, and tiresome process of doctor visits, forms, and phone calls. However i have been notified that my file has been processed and is in the hands of my placement officer, who will then decide my "fate." As of right now i am scheduled for a departure at the end of May 2010, and will know my placement country at the latest of mid-April. However they stress that that could change in a moments notice.
Since this is my first post, i will leave it there, however check back for more news and i will also be writing about the process of becoming a volunteer for those of you that are interested. Thanks again for your interest!
